Broward Folk Club’s annual January event will be a special day focused on bringing our Folk “Community” back together
in a way that enables us to share not only great music, but the community spirit that has been such an important
part of our Club in years past.
Important – PLEASE NOTE:
Unlike our past events, the “Shack” does not have the capacity that a larger venue does. We wanted to give first
priority to our South Florida
music community. AFTER CHRISTMAS,
WE WILL OPEN TICKET SALES UP TO THE LARGER COMMUNITY, AND TICKETS WILL GO FAST! Once we are full, we will NOT be able to accept additional reservations. Therefore, it
is imperative that you reserve your seats NOW if you plan to attend. BFC Members will get priority pricing. Tickets
will be available the day of the event ONLY if seats are still available at that time.

Please bring a side dish, snack, or dessert item to share. We will provide drinks. There will be a barbecue… plates
(hot dogs, burgers, veggie burgers, and chicken) will be available for purchase at $5 a plate.
FESTIVUS SCHEDULE:
• 2 pm: Gates open – opportunity to socialize and spend time with old and new friends
• 2:45 pm: Final call for sign-up for open mic
• 3 - 5 pm: Open mic
• 5 to 6:15 pm: Dinner/cookout/barbecue
• 6:15 pm: Evening entertainment starts. Announcements, opening act (Ellen Bukstel)
• 6:30 - 8 pm: Evening concert Part I (featuring Rowan Cunningham Band, Jack Williams, Verlon Thompson)
• 8 - 8:30 pm: BREAK
• 8:30 - 10 pm: Evening concert Part II (featuring
Rowan Cunningham Band, Jack Williams, Verlon Thompson)
• 10pm until ???: Gather round the campfire for late evening song circles
Tickets at the Gate (IF seats are still available)
• BFC Members: $25
• Non-members: $30

are no longer available. If you have not yet purchased your seats and would like to attend this event, please contact
Neil (954-873-3150) to reserve a spot (if available). All tickets sold at the gate on Sunday must be paid for by
cash or check. The cost will be $25 for paid up BFC members, $30 for non-members.
